Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity can be defined as measures taken to protect a computer or computer system against unauthorized access or attack. Cyber threats will continue to grow and multiply with the continuing increase in connectivity of people, devices and organizations.  The evaluation and management of cyber risk is an ongoing and evolving effort that requires consistent firm attention.  Cyber risk management is not solely an IT challenge it includes business, technology, and corporate support functions.

IFIC plays a role in supporting member efforts in managing cybersecurity risks by providing a forum for members to share information on trends, current practices and emerging threats.  IFIC also participates in engaging with stakeholders both internationally and domestically with financial industry participants, regulators and other 3rd parties.
