IFIC Operations Day

IFIC’s annual Operations Day will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Toronto Board of Trade. Industry leaders will discuss trends, issues and practical measures that will help you and your team implement current industry and regulatory initiatives and prepare for the regulatory challenges that are on the horizon.

Topics of Discussion will include:

CRM2: By July 25 2017, all firms will have completed their initial delivery of the new client reports on charges/compensation and performance required under CRM2. With implementation now well in hand, it’s time to shift the focus to client communication, education and retention.

Cybersecurity: Come listen to practical tips on what an operations professional needs to know about cybersecurity.

Taxation Update: An outline of the operational considerations for OECD Common Reporting standard will be provided as well as updates on FATCA filling requirements for 2016 filing and other tax reporting issues.

Fundserv: Updates on new developments, priorities and key initiatives of Fundserv.

T+2 Update: Operational issues for T+2 implementation will be discussed including testing, industry readiness, regulatory changes and monitoring developments in the US.

Operations Working Group Update: Group members will update the audience on recent initiatives it has concluded and current issues it is working on, such as electronic signatures. They’ll be also seeking attendees input into the Group’s future agenda.
